High Bank is owner-operated by me, Luke, with the endless support of my wife Abbie. I'm roasting out of a small office space turned commercial wholesale production space on a 3kg Joper in Caledonia, Michigan.
Prior to starting High Bank, I worked as a photojournalist in the Democratic Republic of Congo where my passions for storytelling and coffee collided.
High Bank's focus continues to be story driven, with the belief that better storytelling about the people and culture surrounding coffee can create a more connected and ultimately sustainable industry.

While we recognize coffee is an agricultural product with inherent volatility and variation, we do our best to limit the variables within our control during the roasting process. We follow a strict between-batch protocol to maintain consistent thermal control and carefully monitor our profiles through graphing software. Regular quality control tastings ensure the experience matches the science.
